In a slightly shocking announcement considering the handsets have only been available for just one month, Rogers has cut the pricing on both the HTC Dream and the HTC Magic.
Both handsets are now being priced at $99.99, which is a pretty nice drop from the original $149.99. Of course a three-year agreement still comes along with that newly lowered price. That alone sounds like it would be a good time to go Android with Rogers, but the reasoning behind the price drop does bring up some interesting questions.
These price cuts could be just because Rogers wanting to lock as many customers in with high priced data plans, or possibly the $149.99 price tag was not enough to convince people looking at a $99 iPhone 3G to really consider a Dream or Magic.
Either way though, $99.99 is a pretty sweet deal for either the Dream or Magic.

Unless I see a credit for $50 on my next bill, Rogers just gave me another reason to hate the incredibly poor service I’ve received since I switched last month to buy this Android phone.
