We already knew that current T-Mobile customers would be able to pre-order the myTouch 3G between July 8 and July 28 and now we have also learned when those that place and order can expect to get hands-on — it will be by August 3.

This information also gives us a pretty good indication that the previously rumored general availability date of August 5 may be accurate. According to the pre-order myTouch 3G information, T-Mobile is making it clear that the pre-order customers will be getting their device “before everyone else.”

That said, it does not in any way confirm a general availability release for August 5, but it does fit nicely with the timeline.
