T-Mobile confirms Android announcement coming next week

We saw the lead up and the rumors in regards to the official announcement. Now in some good news, it appears that T-Mobile has confirmed that the myTouch 3G will be announced next week — an announcement that they will be making an announcement — so to speak. That said, I would rather see the actual announcement, but at the same time it is nice to know it will be coming.
Anyway, according to a spokesperson from T-Mobile;
“Next week, T-Mobile will share more details about its next Android-powered phone, the follow-on device to the T-Mobile G1 with Google.”
Of course, they did not specifically state that it would be the myTouch 3G, but at this point it seems like that is pretty much a given. That said, I suppose they could have a surprise up their sleeve.
