For some reason or another, there are cases in which certain apps don’t appear in the Android Market for some users. The latest app to suffer this problem is ShopSavvy. According to the app creator’s website, Android users are reporting being unable to to see ShopSavvy listed in the Android Market.
I have reported similar problems in the past and still have yet to get a clear answer on what is causing apps to occasionally go missing. These complaints have been brought up enough to go beyond isolated incidents, so it’s in everyone’s best interest to find out what is going on.
Here’s how ShopSavvy requests everyone help:
How can you help? Please visit the market right now. Look under All Applications and sort by popularity. Take a picture of that screen (screen grab or just a plain photo) and email it to firstname.lastname@example.org – let us know if ShopSavvy was missing. Your help is much appreciated. If we can replicate the problem on a large scale a) we will know there is a real problem and b) our friends at Google might be able to figure out what is going on. In the meantime if you don’t have ShopSavvy and can’t find it in the market just Download ShopSavvy Here.
If the app is missing in your Android Market, be sure to report as much information about your phone as you can to create a better understanding of the problem. When did it first disappear? What city are you in? What carrier do you use? What version of Android are you running? And so on.
