Big city Android fans and public transportation riders will be happy to know that Maps now offers walking or bus and train directions. The walking feature is good because Maps is less-likely to provide unnecessary steps for one-way-streets and winding roads.
Unfortunately, the public transportation directions aren’t fail proof. For instance, it couldn’t provide a bus route from Miami-Dade College Kendall to Southland Mall in Miami, even though the 35 Metro Dade Bus stops at both locations. Results will vary based on city and area. Visit Google.com/Transit for a list of the cities across the globe that are supported.
