Boingo Wi-Fi hotspot service available for Android

Wi-Fi hotspot service Boingo Wireless is available for Android users looking for a wide-range of wireless networks. Boingo is a service that searches for and grants access to thousands of Wi-Fi hotspots at various locations. For $7.95 USD a month, users can get “blazing fast Boingo Mobile” at locations around the world, logging on everywhere from the local McDonald’s or Starbucks to airports, hotels, and restaurants.

Having constant wireless access is great, but it’s a little tough to warrant adding $8 on top of your monthly cell phone costs. Open Wi-Fi networks are increasingly available in many places and 3G wireless service is more than passable in most instances. Spending that kind of money would require a frequent need for Wi-Fi, travel, and the absence of a 3G market.

Visit Boingo.com for more information about the service and to see if it’s right for you.
