Android now offers Mafia RPG with M:Mafia

America loves gangsters, at least when it comes to entertainment. That bodes well for Moblyng Games’ M:Mafia Android app. Myspace and Facebook users have been wrapped-up in Mafia style role-playing games, and M:Mafia seeks to take that experience to Android as well.
M: Mafia is a crime-centered RPG that can be played on Facebook or an Android device. Gamers earn points/level increases through mob activities as they build crews, work together on jobs, or attack others to increase their rep within the family structure. Accounts can be linked between Facebook and the phone.
“Crime family games are extremely popular with social gamers, and we are excited to be the first publisher to bring the mafia entertainment experience to Android users,” Moblyng CEO Stewart Putney said in a statement. “Now social gamers across Android, iPhone, Facebook, and other platforms can connect and play with more of their friends than ever before.”
Gamers can also purchase “favors” for added in-game currency. M: Mafia is available in the Android Market with six favor options:
- 25 Favor – FREE (limited time offer)
- 16 Favor – $1.99
- 40 Favor – $4.99
- 80 Favor – $9.99
- 160 Favor – $19.99
- 400 Favor – $49.99
Search for the word “Mafia” in the Android Market to download either of the Mafia games.
Purely personal opinion but I really do detest RPGs based on microtransactions on any platform, especially those where your fundamental level of success is determined by just how much you spend.

ok so heres my question. I understand that the more crew you have the better it is. But 1.) why is that? Many ppl complain that they have 501 members but still loose. How can that be? And 2.) how do I know who to add? Do my crew members levels and items help me? For instance a crew member lv 40 will help me more than a lvl 5? Or all crew members help the same. And the only difference is the items I have to equipt them with? Pls help
John – Having played this game for a very long time and having worked my way up the ranks (currently level 78), I can tell you that the more crew you have the better. There are only so many codes posted out there and you need to find them and add them. I believe what you arm and protect your crew with is the most important. The better the weapons, the better the armor and making sure all crew has a vehicle, the more fights you will win. I have a very very large crew, all with missle launchers and various combinations of the top three armor pieces. All my crew drives the armored merc, but I'm not sure the car is a huge factor in winning fights. The crew member level may or may not affect the final outcome of fights (I haven't found this all to be more than a numbers game), but the more crew you find and add (and fully arm), the better chance you will find crew playing at a decent level. I can tell you this because I rarely lose a fight. Also – make sure you have plenty of health when you fight. If you attack and you have lower health than your opponent (and say are close in level and armor), you will most likely lose or worse yet, be killed. Good luck. dR. z
