HTC Sense interface seen on HTC Dream (video)

Confirming what we already knew about Android, a video has shown HTC’s Sense user interface on an HTC Dream (T-Mobile G1) phone. Sense is officially available only on the HTC Hero Android phone at the moment; however, a pesky little thing like sanctioned availability isn’t going to stop phone modifiers from having a little fun and loading it onto their G1’s.

As seen in this video, root users can flash their phone with the SuperHERO ROM and have HTC’s new interface at their fingertips. We’ve already seen videos depicting earlier builds of Hero, but this video provides another look at the many functions and visual changes made to Android for the Hero.

The Hero ROM was optimized for the original device, so there will be potential sacrifices in features, speed, and function when loading into onto different devices. Though HTC is thinking about offering Sense on current Android devices, it probably won’t be seen officially on “with Google” phones like the G1 and myTouch. Drooling will probably as close as many G1/Magic users come to getting Sense unless they root their phones.

Please… I hate how everyone has said that SuperHero is the sence UI. SuperHero is a cooked version of what Haykuro dropped on the scene… if you want the actual Official Sence “TouchFlo” Hero build… go get JACHero 2.0r6 on the xda developer forums. That is what I have flashed to my Dreamm/G1… by the way it was nice watching that video from HTC Flash on my G1. :)
