Anybody interested in an unlocked phone that comes with root access the minute you buy it? It has a 624 MHZ processor, a 3.2 megapixel camera with autofocus, and Digital TV Tuner to sweeten the pot. If your interest has been tickled, get a load of the Geeks’Phone One.
Spanish-based Geeks’Phone is releasing One as an unlocked phone that can ship with root access if a user so chooses. The phone is likely to appeal to “power users” and others who want something more than what’s offered in the carrier-tied Android phones currently on the market. The phone works on quad-band GSM, UMTS, so users will be able to slide their SIM card into the device.
Plenty of people would enjoy having a rooted phone but are too nervous or inexperienced to stomach the risky task of unlocking (and possibly bricking) a phone. Geeks’Phone does the hard work for you and provides a 1gb SD card, strong processing power, and unique DVB-T Digital TV Turner to boot. Pricing details were not released when unveiled last week, but the device is scheduled for release in fall 2009. Geeks’Phone says the ONE will ship internationally from its store.

is that hardware the same as the omnia?

Definately not, i900 has minimum 8gb internal memory and a 800mhz arm cpu. But the prices that appear in other blogs seem quite cheap for this kind of a phone. (yes, I'm late)
