YouMail voicemail features and app available for Android

One of the things that most excites me about Google Voice is the use of voicemail transcription. Having voicemail messages transcribed and sent to me in text message or viewable online is something I know I will use often.

YouMail has released a beta Android application that also provides more voicemail options. The app connects Android phones and YouMail accounts, allowing users to gain visual voicemail, transcribed voicemails sent to e-mail, reply to voicemail with an e-mail, and create personal greetings for certain contacts.

It’s important to note that there is a charge for certain aspects of the service. Users wanting the voicemail transcription service can sign-up for different monthly plans that cost $3.99, $6.99, or $17.99. More information is available at YouMail.com.

Interested in YouMail? Sign-up for an account, download and install the YouMail app, and then set-up the voicemail forwarding service. It seems like a bit of work at first, but the company provides a detailed guide for each step of the process. Sign-up for an account and you will receive detailed options for setting-up the service. A guide for downloading and installing the YouMail Android beta app is also available.

I've always hated voicemail, so to me Youmail finally makes voicemail as useful as normal email. This Android app just made it more worth it to me, Thanx!
