T-Mobile unveils plans to release multiple Android-based devices from three partners in 2009

What we have here is more news, which is unfortunately coming without a device being released. The latest adds to the T-Mobile story and is giving us a little better idea of what we can expect to see later this year.

According to CTO Cole Brodman, it looks like the second half of 2009 will include a few Android goodies.

“We are looking to launch multiple Android-based devices in the second half of this year with three partners,”

This also just goes to add a little extra confirmation to that leaked roadmap that we saw earlier in the month. Brodman did not go into specifics as to which models would be introduced, however based on recent speculation and rumor it seems like we can expect to see the HTC Magic, Sapphire, myTouch as well as the Samsung i7500 and HTC G1 v2 Bigfoot.

Of course, this guess list would only be covering two of the three partners, who could be the third? Possibly Motorola, or maybe it will not be another phone because in addition to confirming “multiple” devices from three partners he also suggested that T-Mobile was interested in a netbook running Android.
