PayPal releases mobile app for Android

Android Apps, Finance
Thanks to the recent introduction of a mobile app, it would appear that PayPal is getting closer and closer to replacing my regular bank account. The recently released app will allow you to check your balance, view your history and send money.
Basically there is nothing revolutionary here, but for regular PayPal users this will be a nice addition. Like I mentioned, this is getting close to replacing my bank account, I now get my paychecks via PayPal and have a PayPal debit Mastercard that I use to pay bills and make purchases.
One tip for logging in, if you have the PayPal secure login token you will have to add that six digit code on the end of your password.
Android users can begin using the PayPal app right away. Just head on over to the Android Market and search for PayPal. Also, for those worried about accessing your banking details on a mobile connection, PayPal assures us that “all your mobile payments are kept safe using the same start-of-the-art technology we use on paypal.com.”

Doesn't seem to be available in the UK market
It's US/Canada only… I guess PayPal believe that non-North American Android users either don't exist or wouldn't be interested in using PayPal.
Why does everyone, except those who comment, refuse to announce this is this for the American market only?
Because there are a lot of companies that refuse to believe there is anyone outside of the UK. Ok, so that is a sweeping generalisation, but it includes those who only accept credit cards for payments – amazon web services for example.
No UK support. Paypal is really slow with technology. Why not UK and why US/Canada only. this is crap.
I hate it when I find a good app and find it's US only. PayPal for the UK please!!!!
There are legal loopholes that must be dealt with when dealing with international finances. I'm sure it is easier for the developers to focus on their home country before expanding to the other parts of the world. Give these people a break- you'll get it soon enough.
