HTC Hero firmware spotted in video

The HTC Hero was first thought to be some cutesy version of the G1/HTC Dream Android phone. But after watching  a video of the HTC Hero build ported to the G1, anyone would be hard-pressed to consider the phone a Dream lite.

Haykuro, previously responsible for great versions of the HTC Magic build, obtained the HTC Hero build and a video demonstration soon followed. A YouTube video showing the Hero firmware on a G1 revealed that the Hero is strong enough to not be trapped in its predecessor’s shadow. There’s a much better looking calendar interface, social network integration, improvements to the Music player app, Cupcake functions, a great Browser, etc., etc.

Watch the preview video below to see for yourself what can be expected from the Hero. If the HTC Hero is physically comfortable and sturdy, it will shed that G1 Lite label real fast.
