eBuddy is the mega-instant messaging Android app

Do you have an AOL Instant Messenger screen name? What about MSN Messenger, Yahoo! Messenger, Google Talk, ICQ, and Facebook chat? If you have two or more of either instant messenger service, you might want to get eBuddy. The new Android app combines all of these popular instant messaging services, putting all your contacts and chat handles in the palm of your hand.
eBuddy users can see one buddy list with all of their contacts, regardless of which platform that person uses. They can then engage in multiple conversations at the same time and easily switch between chats. eBuddy even supports adding new friends and organizing them into groups.
Frequent chatters may also be happy to know that eBuddy can notify users when they have new messages. This will have an obvious effect on battery drain, but it’s a good option if users have already tweaked their settings to where battery life isn’t a big issue. Search “ebuddy” in the Android Market to download the app and see for yourself.

hi,i am wondering if the 'softwares' for HTC hero are FOC.such as ebuddy etc and games,(just like the same for iphone)..as i own a ipod touch,i feel its rather convenient and entertaining with it's varse amout of softwars in apple apps.just wondering if HTC offers that too. about to get a HTC hero tmr,not sure if its a better choice than iphone. thanks!
I just tested eBuddy on an Android HTC Magic: sorry folks but an IM-client that does *not* grab those IM-account infos (e.g. search for ICQ:1234567 in my contacts and rename the IM-contact in eBuddy accordingly instead of showing only the awkward ICQ account number) from my contacts is not really worth a try.
