Spain will be the first country to get its hands on the HTC Magic as Vodafone Spain has announced that it will begin selling the device this afternoon. The out of left-field announcement was made this morning and promised to give Spanish Android fans the first look at the second device to carry Google’s mobile OS.
A five hour countdown posted to Vodafone Spain’s website signaled the good fortune, and Engadget Spain eventually learned that the phone also comes with a free 8GB microSD card. Que bueno! There will be costs for purchasing the phone, however, as it is more expensive for Spainards that the contracts offered to Vodafone UK customers. Either way, the lucky people of Spain will have the official Magic phone in their hands within a few hours.
