Sipdroid working on a VoIP over Wi-Fi solution

Android Apps
It looks like Android users may soon have an alternate and somewhat more functional VoIP application shortly. The new app is called Sipdroid and unlike the currently available Skype client, this will use Wi-Fi to connect and make calls.
Unfortunately, while this seems like it should be good news, it will be interesting to see if it makes it into the Android Market. Or more specifically, if it makes it into the Android Market for T-Mobile US customers.
As of now, an exact release date is still unknown, however some are suggesting that it could be sometime in May of 2009. In the meantime, check out the YouTube video below to get a glimpse of Sipdroid in action.
