Rumor has it that we can expect to see an Android-powered netbook showcased during Computex 2009. The report is coming courtesy of the Chinese-language Economic Daily News (EDN) and simply mentions that MSI are planning to demo an Android-powered netbook in an effort to “gain orders from global PC vendors.”
Unfortunately, the details are limited to just that, and as you would expect, MSI has not offered any comment that confirms or denies the rumor. I guess it looks like we will have a little while to wait on this one as Computex is not scheduled to begin until June 2. Of course, assuming this report is accurate, it does lead one to wonder whether MSI will be using an existing Wind model or something new.
