Google promised that paid apps would enter the Android Market in several European countries, and they have reminded developers that this will be implemented very soon. Priced apps became available in Germany and Austria yesterday, bringing the total number of countries with that service to four (U.S. and U.K. are the other two). In an email sent out to Android developers, Google’s Eric Chu confirmed that more changes will come to European markets in the next few weeks.

Among Chu’s announcements:

• Priced apps will enter Android Markets in France, the Netherlands, and Spain in a few weeks. (Merchant support must be finalized before it can happen)
• Italy will begin seeing free apps shortly (ed note: Come again? Haven’t Android phones been available in Italia for more than two weeks now?)
• Country-specific targeting for France and Italy will be enabled with the roll-out of French/Italian language support for the Market

Yesterday was Wilkommen, soon it will be Bienvenue, Welkom, and Bienvenido.
