Some additional images of the HTC Magic in black have surfaced courtesy of Engadget, and these just further prove that the Magic looks good in either color. The latest images highlight the glossy black HTC Magic.
Also, in addition to the undeniable proof that the HTC Magic will be available in black, it is also headed to Vodafone. According to a representative from HTC, this handset is still a pre-production model, which means that the button layout will likely change a little. Additionally, the final version will have the Vodafone logo.
The rest of the news also comes with a little disappointment, it was mentioned that HTC has no immediate plans to sell the handset unlocked anytime soon. Of course, on the flip side, the rep give some good news stating that HTC “believed deeply” in Android.

What is the gadget with the red LED attached to the front?
Jon, I am pretty certain is is an anti-theft alarm. Looks to be similar to what mobile phones “wear” while on display in retail stores. Basically, just makes an annoying sound if it comes lose.
