March Madness reminder: Get NCAA updates on your G1

March ranks as one of the least productive months of the year, and it’s not just because of St. Patrick’s Day festivities. March Madness causes millions of workers to sneak away from their employment duties in order to keep up with the NCAA Division I basketball tournament.

Google Android users can’t watch the games live on their T-Mobile G1’s, but they can getstats and scoring updates. Remember to download Scoreboard in order to get constant in-game notifications, scoring updates, and full schedules of all games in the upcoming NCAA tournament.
Another tool you may want to get is the Plusmo College Basketball app. It also provides live scores, news reports, and focused attention on a preset group of teams. Plusmo optimized its College Football app during the bowl season, and they are likely to do the same for the tournament.

I’m currently searching for an app that will provide up-to-the-minute bracket information to help me keep track of the various pools I plan to enter. I hope Plusmo or someone else will be able to fill that gap.

The NCAA tourney runs March 19 – April 6. You may not see the future “One shining moment” plays as they happen, but at least you won’t worry about which team is winning.
