The rumors surrounding the upcoming availability of the Huawei phone have been circulating for several months now, in fact we already mentioned it way back in February. However it seems that this is one rumor that just will not go away. The latest reports are coming courtesy of TmoNews who are stating that a “trusted source” has confirmed a Q3 2009 availability with T-Mobile.

Of course this is still nothing official and should still be considered a rumor. Otherwise, this time some of the specs were also mentioned for the Huawei handset. Those details include a 5-megapixel camera, 3.5mm headphone jack, Wi-Fi and as we would hope based on the lack of hardware keyboard — cupcake.

Personally, I hope this is one rumor that we see come true, although plenty of people will dislike it for the lack of hardware keyboard, it is hard to deny that it looks much nicer than the G1.
