Google Maps adds Street View in UK, Netherlands
March 22, 2009 | by Andrew Kameka
Google Street View is live in the United Kingdom and Netherlands, and that feature extends to the T-Mobile G1. A few days ago, Google Maps Street View became available for Android users in major cities like Amsterdam and London. While the bizarre, funny, and creepy images typical of Google Street View have caused some complaints in the UK, Android users will be happy to know that they can now access street level maps on their phone.
Google Street View is live in the following cities:
England
Birmingham, Bristol, Cambridge, Coventry, Derby, Leeds, Liverpool, London, Manchester, Newcastle, Norwich, Nottingham, Oxford, Scunthorpe, Sheffield, Southampton and York
Scotland
Aberdeen, Dundee, Scotland, Edinburgh, Scotland, Glasgow, Scotland
Other UK Cities
Belfast, Northern Ireland
Cardiff, Wales
Swansea, Wales
Netherlands
Amsterdam, Rotterdam
