G1 accounting for 20-percent of T-Mobile contract sales in the UK

Carriers, T-Mobile
I am a firm believer that people are more likely to offer a complaint than offer praise, however judging from all of the comments on our UK RC9 update post, this is a situation that may need some attention, especially after learning what percentage the T-Mobile G1 makes up in the UK.
According to the most recent financial results, the G1 makes up 20-percent of contract sales with T-Mobile in the UK. While, this initially sounds like good news for Android fans, given the current backlash dealing with the most recent update, this could mean bad news for T-Mobile.
It seems T-Mobile is aware of the success, having already stated that the G1 was the “best-selling launch of 2008″ however that is not enough. Lets just hope that T-Mobile sees how important these updates are in keeping their (20%) G1 users happy and plan an improvement soon. After all, while they have the exclusivity with Android now, Vodafone will soon be offering some competition.
