Costco now offering the T-Mobile G1 for $79.99

It seems that Amazon is not the only retailer currently offering a nice deal on the T-Mobile G1. The latest is coming from Costco, who have added an extra little bonus in addition to that low price.

To begin with, Costco will be offering the T-Mobile G1 for $79.99, which, if you remember is the same price as Amazon. Of course, that extra little bonus comes in the form of a free Bluetooth headset. Also, as you would expect, in order to get this price, you will need to activate the G1 with a two-year contract at the time of purchase.

It seems this offer has come in the “latest coupon book” that gets snail mailed from Costco. The one drawback is that in order to shop at Costco (and take advantage of this offer) you need to be a member, or at least get a guest pass to “try it out.”

In addition, this latest deal could also lead one to believe that T-Mobile is trying to get rid of as many of the G1′s before they launch the G2. Could this be some further proof of a G2 launch during CTIA? I hope so, but time will tell.
