Cronus Crown has released Ex Reversi, a Google Android version of a board game with nearly 230 years of history. The object of the game is to take an assigned color on a two-sided disk – one side light, the other dark – and fill up a board with more disks showing that color than your opponent’s.
Ex Reversi joins a field of other Reversi/Othello apps that digitize the classic game for Android. Users can choose a Player vs. Player mode or test their skills against a computer opponent with varied difficulty settings. The competition can take place on 50 different boards that come with the app. In fact, users can even create a custom board by pressing “Access Net > Make Stage” within Ex Reversi.
Data from each person’s game history is uploaded to the web, where it is then tracked and compared to other user reports. This optional information allows players to be ranked online according to skill. Here is a brief explanation video, with English and Japanese title comments, showcasing Ex Reversi.
