I would say that there are plenty of Windows Mobile users who are feeling a little frustrated about now. After all, Windows Mobile 6.5 is still a little ways out, it is not expected until the Summer of 2009, and Windows Mobile 7 and multi-touch is still way off. I would also say that frustration with users is a little more normal, however some recent statements from Reinhard Clemens who is the CEO of T-Systems, a major subsidiary of German telco Deutsche Telekom is a little more interesting to see.
According to Clemens;
“Android will be a Windows of future”
He also went on to further bad-mouth Windows Mobile as a whole, claiming that;
“Windows Mobile devours simply too much energy.”
Of course, this does not mean that T-Mobile is planning to stop selling Windows Mobile devices anytime soon, but it could me a shift in the future. At this time, I would say that it would be a little early to expect change, especially considering the lack of Android based handsets on the market. However, on the flip side, it could mean that moving forward T-Mobile may add a new Android handset before they would add a similar Windows Mobile based handset. As I have said before, the future of Android is both interesting and exciting.
