T-Mobile makes upgrading more affordable, ditches the $18 upgrade fee

T-Mobile has recently announced some good news for any existing customers that were considering upgrading their current handset — they are ditching the $18 upgrade fee. According to the press release, this will apply to upgrades purchased online, over the phone and in retail locations.

Just think, now you can grab that G1 that you have been drooling over and still have that $18 to spend on something else, maybe put that cash towards a nice memory card.

But perhaps more important, this news is for anyone that has upgraded in the previous 14 days, T-Mobile reps are “empowered” to credit that $18 back to your account.
