Any unsatisfied Sprint customers who are holding out in hopes of seeing an Android based handset may want to consider jumping over to T-Mobile instead. Sprint Chief Executive Dan Hesse recently told the National Press Club in Washington that Android is not yet ?good enough to put the Sprint brand on it.? He was also quick to point out that Sprint customers will see an Android handset “some time in the future,? of course no expected availability dates were mentioned.
Personally, it seems that for Android to truly succeed we need to see it gain support over multiple carriers. It seems like even if Sprint does not feel it is ready for prime time, they should remain quite in saying that it is not good enough. After all, if Android fails with T-Mobile then maybe the desire of other carriers will not stay as strong and we will eventually see it fizzle away.
