Recently new Google Android Phone in development, based on the Open Handset Alliance platform, has had several functionality screenshots released – one of which is quite impressive for a phone. It is an entire application that shows you a map, and what is open. Consider the significance of this. It will show you where you are, and on your mobile phone you will know what stores, restaurants, bars, shopping centers, and anything else that has an open sign (liquor store) are open, and what time they open or close. In other words it can become quite a life-safer if you’re out on a date, and find yourself looking for the closest open restaurant. Or if you were dumped, and are looking for the closest liquor store, and later closest hospital for the inevitable alcohol poisoning associated with said searches. The other significance of this application is that it is one of the first for the “Dream” phone and Google Android Platform.
